THE LAST

Although I can’t believe it, it has come to an end. …But really? It feels like the first day I sat in Mrs. Lewis’ Poetry class was just a week ago. Maybe a month at max. Thinking back at the past two and a half months, I can recall so many good memories with this class. Sitting on the floor, reading children poetry, patting Bugsy the Library Dog and feeling so much better about the tiring day, watching the intense Slam video clips, listening to Mrs. Lewis and Mr. Lewis’ love story from 17 years ago, learning all the unhappy poets and some very few happy poets and their poems, competing the blog hits with other groups for Mrs. Lewis’ amazing cookies (can’t believe tomorrow will be the last cookie day with the class L), and many more. This poetry class has truly changed my view of poetry. As I said before, I hated poetry. Although I knew that with Mrs. Lewis, no subject would be horrible, I have to admit that I started off as one nervous kid who did not wanna learn poetry at all. I mean, when I can't even write poetry in my native language, how am I gonna be a poet myself? However, as time went by so fast, I could see the change in myself, becoming more and more open to poetry and realizing that it is not that bad actually. I also think that seeing all different personality of each of us through poetry was really great. Because we all had such a distinguishable and strong voices of our own, I feel like I got to know them so much better after this class. I mean, how am I ever gonna forget this wonderful class with such amazing people? I will miss my CAPS LOCK buddies and all the wonderful people very much. And of course my fav ever, Mrs. Lewis and Buggy :)
And I know that this is not the end, but another start!
